Fine Particle Removal
When dry heat sterilization is used, all life forms are incinerated resulting in sterility. There are other methods of sterilization which are used for customer products. Our technicians closely monitor all the sterilization processes to ensure that sterility is achieved.
Precision cleaning that removes contaminant particles, organic films, and non-volatile residues (NVRs) such as oils, greases, coolants and chemicals from any environment. The level of cleanliness we produce is extreme, requiring the elimination of micron size miniature particles and residues that, because they're measured in microns, can only be seen with microscopes. By comparison, a human hair is about 50 to 100 microns in diameter.
Solvent Cleaning Services
Chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvents can be used in for many parts cleaning applications. There are 3 primary chlorinated degreaser type solvents that we use: trichloroethylene (TCE), methylene chloride, and perchloroethylene (perc). There are many other non-chlorinated solvents which are used for various solvent cleaning situations.
Oxygen Cleaning Service - O2 Services
We clean parts for oxygen service that are used in the production, storage, and distribution of liquid and gaseous oxygen. The most commonly used spec in industry for this type of cleaning is CGA (Compressed Gas Association) G-4.1. We have the capability to clean most any size, shape or quantity to any spec that meets or exceeds the high standard of CGA G–4.1. Oxygen cleaning is vital because combustible hydrocarbons trapped in an oxygen system can create the fuel that can cause an accidental fire or explosion. These contaminants are organic and hydrocarbon materials such as oils, greases, paper, fibers, animal cell material, hair, solvents, drawing lubricants, etc. There are several part test methods available at Clean Parts Group: direct visual inspection using ultraviolet light, water break test , membrane filter, and solvent extraction test. Your components will be certified cleaned for oxygen service as long as they are stored in their unopened packages in a clean environment.

Parts Sterilization Services
With our in-house autoclaves and ovens, your parts can be steam or dry heat sterilized. When steam sterilization is used, steam and pressure transfer sufficient heat into organisms to kill all of them. This method is different than disinfection, in which only organisms that are sensitive to the disinfectant are killed . Proper autoclave treatment will eliminate all living biological agents such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold, and spores.
Silicone Free Cleaning Services
There are several processes used to achieve silicone free surfaces. They vary depending on whether the item is a gage, valve, tubing, or miscellaneous item to be installed into a silicone free work space. Proven techniques are used to remove silicone residue from parts.
This process is utilized to modify the surface chemistry of a steel part or material, such as stainless steel, to make it more corrosion resistant. The object is to deplete the part surface of reactive iron, leaving chromium, which is more passive. Passivation also repairs damage to a metal part's surface that can occur during bending, polishing, or welding. Citric passivation that we employ, combined with chelants, meets or exceeds today's passivation standards which are typically based on older, nitric acid passivation technology. Citric passivation also avoids chemical waste disposal costs which can be significant.
This is a proven and effective method for cleaning metal parts of oil, grease, wax, flux, etc. This method generally achieves a more thorough parts cleanliness than aqueous cleaning methods which we also provide. There is no risk of cross-contamination with dissimilar metals in vapor degreasing. The active solvent agent in this process does not compromise the surface of your parts or leave a residue behind. The solvent vaporizes from the parts, leaving them completely clean and dry.
Aqueous and Semi-Aqueous Cleaning Services
Aqueous ultrasonic and spray processes using 10 meg-ohm DI water. Our aqueous cleaning equipment meets and/or exceeds the quality requirements of the customer's cleanliness specifications. We utilize multistage systems, modular cleaning systems and rotating platform spray systems to clean to your exact specification.
Ultrasonic Cleaning Services
Ultrasonic cleaning is effective in cleaning a wide range of machined, stainless steel and brass parts, medical tubing, cast iron heads, valve bodies, cylinder heads, and valve covers and other metal and plastic parts. Our large ultrasonic and rinse tanks give Clean Parts Group the ability to process high-quantity orders, including large parts, at one time. As a result of these economies of scale, we offer faster turnaround times and lower prices.
Verification and Cleanroom Packaging
Processes that follow cleaning include rinsing, drying, preserving, and parts packaging. Options for drying of parts, potentially a time-consuming step, range from blowing with dry, filtered air to a vacuum oven bake procedures . The next step that we perform is becoming a prominent and crucial factor in the cleanliness industry. Quantitative verification of the parts cleaning process is key, especially for tight tolerances in precision assemblies. All parts are packaged in a cleanroom environment. Parts can be single, double, or triple bagged. Vacuum or nitrogen purge is also available. Our quality systems ensure that the correct cleaning, packaging, labeling, and documentation are applied as specified by the customer.
Testing, Evaluation, and Inspection of Parts to
The parts testing and inspections that we performed can include particle count, particle identification, non-volatile residue analysis (NVR), and total filterable solids analysis (TFS). Parts are certified to requested and quoted cleanliness levels.
